This knit cap is based on a knit cap worn as a US Navy uniform in the 1940s and is made using techniques such as rib knitting, stepped ribbing, four-row overlock stitching, and decrease stitches.
At the time, in the 1940s, there were no factories specializing in knitted hats, so hats were knitted together with gloves and jacket ribbing in factories that also produced them, and so they were knitted using the same process up to a certain point and then sewn together.
The side features a faded print of "HWPUPPY."

Based on the knit caps worn as uniforms by the US Navy in the 1940s, we produced a single knit cap using a technique of knitting between the legs, stepped ribs, a 4-strand lock sewing machine, and reduced stitching.
In the 1940s, there were no factories specializing in knit hats, but they were knitted together at factories that produced ribs for gloves and jackets, so they were knitted in the same process up to the halfway point and then sewn.
The design has a blurred print of “HWPUPPY” on the side.
