A braided hat sewn from fine wheat braid.
The crown is pork pie-shaped, 9cm high, and fits comfortably over the head. The brim is loose and slightly raised at 9cm, and has a simple design without ribbons or decorations.
This summer hat can be worn as is, but can also be used as a base for customization by adding ribbons or decorations to your liking.
There are various theories about the origin of the name "pork pie hat," but it is said to have originated from its resemblance to the traditional British dish pork pie. Pork pie hats became popular as women's hats around 1830-1860, mainly in America and Britain.
Around 1920, pork pie hats began to be worn not only by women but also by men. Gradually, the height and shape of the top changed, and the pork pie hat reached its peak in popularity around 1930-1940.This shape is also famous as the trademark hat of jazz musician Lester Willis Young.
The original design is simple and does not include a ribbon, but of course you can customize the hat by adding a ribbon.

This time I styled it with a patterned rayon shirt.
It has a simple, one-tone design without a ribbon, but the long 9cm brim makes it a striking item. This hat can be paired with a wide range of items, from simple cut-and-sew tops to patterned shirts.
