Classic traveler's hat style.
This is a traveler's hat made from the finest felt beaver material.
Made with lightweight, thin beaver felt, this hat is light and foldable, making it easy to carry. The brim is also buckled to prevent shrinkage and tearing. Double stitching at the base of the hem increases strength and reduces deformation.
A felt hat is made by compressing animal hair into felt and then molding it.
Felt hats are generally made from three types of material (wool, rabbit, and beaver), with beaver being considered the highest quality material. Hats like this, made around the 17th century, were a necessity for gentlemen at the time, and it's said that the hat worn by Napoleon in portraits was also made from beaver felt. Overhunting of beavers continued until the first half of the 19th century, pushing them to the brink of extinction, until protective laws were enacted in the United States and Canada, putting an end to the era of overhunting.
As silk hats gradually became more popular in Italy, they gradually became less and less popular.
Nowadays, furs are produced from farmed beavers in quantities stipulated by treaty, making them highly rare and the cost of raw materials rising every year.
The sizes range from 34 to 42 , making it suitable for both men and women.
When you think of hats, you might imagine something a little formal, like leather shoes, but this hat has a more casual design than other hats, so you can wear it with sneakers as well.
This soft hat can be worn comfortably even by people who don't usually wear hats, so if you don't like hard hats, why not try the Traveler's Hat?
Thank you for reading to the end.
