D-00801: CLASSIC CAP

This is a 6- panel baseball-style cap.

There are various theories about the origin of the baseball cap, but it is said that the first baseball cap was a round-top, brim-brimmed hat with buttons used by the American Brooklyn Excelsiors in 1858 .

In 1876 , Major League Baseball officially began and official uniforms were created. The hat also became part of the uniform, with a six- panel crown and brim, and is said to have become the official hat.

The entire crown is piped with faux leather, which goes well with the wool of the body and gives it a luxurious design.

The eyelets and metal fittings are made of brass and are a uniform antique color, creating a calm atmosphere.

We also paid particular attention to the interlining, using the same type of interlining called wool interlining as our classic item, the D-00001 BASEBALL CAP .

At that time, baseball caps were lined with a lining made from horse or deer hair, called a hair interlining.

Nowadays, it is a material that is often used mainly as a reinforcement for suits and other items.

The twill wool material has a fluffy texture, so I think it would go well with wool jackets, knit sweaters, flannel shirts, etc. in the coming season.
