This hat is based on the newsboy hunting cap that was popular in the 1920s. Newsboy caps from this era were typically oversized with volume on the sides, and are characterized by their flat, beautiful shape when laid flat.
Here's a photo from the 1920s. You can see that everyone is wearing oversized newsboy caps.
The most distinctive feature of this hat is that it is made of Harris Tweed. The weight and luxury of tweed fabric is an appeal that cannot be achieved with other fabrics. A Harris Tweed tag is attached to the slip part alongside the DOG name tag.
The three colors other than black are slightly different from each other depending on the fabric used, so it might be fun to compare a few before purchasing in store.
As mentioned at the beginning, the silhouette is large and voluminous, so it looks best when worn tilted slightly like a beret. Please give it a try.
