Our classic product, the BOATER (also known as the boater hat)

A classic summer boater hat made with vintage fine wheat braid.

Braid is a tape-like material made from fabric or natural grass, and by sewing the braid in a spiral shape from the top of the head, it creates a beautiful, rounded and elegant finish.

It is said to have originated as a men's hat made for sailors and seamen, and in Japan it came to be called the cancan hat because of the clanging sound it makes when struck.

It is also called a boater in English and a canotier in French.

The wooden last for the boater hat is an original molded in France based on a vintage BOATER.
